Remember this book from Reading Rainbow, A Three Hat Day?
That’s kind of how I’ve been feeling lately, like I’m walking around with a stack of hats on head, swapping them out every hour or so depending on what role I need to fulfill. If it seems like I’ve been a bit reclusive and busy, well, there’s your answer: it’s been a three hat last few weeks.
And don’t get me wrong: I love hats. I even look good in them, too. It’s just that sometimes, I’d love a few minutes to just kick back, take off my stack o’hats and just let my shoulders relax without all that weight on my head.
So what exactly have I been up to? Let’s take a look at my many hats of late:
- Editor-in-Chief, The Infertility Voice: I recently decided to shake up the format of my infertility blog, The Infertility Voice. It’s no longer a personal blog and instead will feature regular contributors and guest blogs. I’m hoping to get these new contributors on board and posting by the end of May.
- Disney Baby Blogger: I’ve been having so much fun writing for Disney Baby! It definitely takes up a lot of time, too, between researching and compiling imagery and information for posts to actually writing those posts. Some of my favorite recent posts include my Chic Chevron Nursery Finds, 50 Free Fonts for Baby Showers & Birth Announcements, and my 10 Mothers Day Gift Ideas for New Moms. Check ’em out!
- Digital Marketing Manager, Fertility Planit: I just joined the team at Fertility Planit to do digital marketing for their brand and forthcoming conferences in New York (September 2013) and Los Angeles (2014). Definitely keeping me busy and I’m excited to share more as we get closer to our New York conference!
- Infertility Category Expert, Answers.com: Adding even more writing to my plate, I’ve recently been contracted to write about infertility at Answers.com. Look for more announcements about my work coming later this month!
- Fundraiser, New Leaders Council Boston: I’ve been working like a fiend promoting our Annual Celebration and Fundraiser for the New Leaders Council Boston Chapter event next Wednesday, May 8th. I’m a 2013 NLC Fellow and it’s been an amazing, life-changing experience to be able to take part in this progressive leadership development Institute. Want to help me out? Make a contribution today to help support out chapter!
- Designer, Various Projects: From designing a campaign logo to designing a blogger’s media kit to building a website, I’ve been super busy with a variety of graphic and web projects for Words Empowered. I need to slow my roll a bit because I’m just running out of hours in the day!
- Pregnant, Team Zoll: No seriously – I feel huge. The Knish and my innards are at war with one another over what little remaining space there is! But all in all, we’re both doing just great. Can’t wait for my shower next weekend – my second shower, since I got surprised with a baby shower last weekend!
So yeah, a lil busy all up ins.
What’s new with you?
