Larry gave me my first (of many) PIO shots today.
He did excellently.
Shots. Shots. Shots. Shotsshots. Shots Shots. Shots. Shotsshots. Shots. Shots. Shots. Shotsshots. Shots.
E’rybody.
Spa day today. My toes are turquoise blue (my first pedi!) and my nails are soft pink. My face is radiant.
Kol Nidrei tonight.
Retrieval tomorrow.
A more substantive post tomorrow.

That was awesome! Thinking of Team Zoll tonight 🙂
Justine says
Hee! You really ARE awesome.
And here I was thinking it was going to be more like “take one down, pass it around, 97 syringes of shots to go …” 😉
Keiko says
Lol, the thought had crossed my mind 😉
Kristin says
I’m so excited for you…well, for all the good that is to come but not for the shots.
Keiko says
I just have to remember why I’m doing it – keep my eyes on the prize!

That video was awesome! We’re getting ready to start lupron shots at the end of the week, and then more shots (follistim and menopur!) a few days after that. I’m going to think of your video on Friday when we do the first lupron shot!
Hope the retrieval goes well!
Keiko says
Thanks! I’ve been giving our donor Lupron and Gonal-F shots for the past week and a half. Those subcutaneous needles are WAY easier to do than the intramusculars. I could do those little needles in my sleep! Best of luck this week as you begin your shots!

Congrats on becoming a veteran or soon to be veteran 🙂 Why 14 weeks? I used to think 12 was normal and looked at my cycle and it was 10 weeks. Anyway sorry for your tush but hopefully you get to shoot up every week 🙂 Good luck on retrieval!!
Keiko says
That’s the tradeoff – 14 weeks of shots. But that means that things are going REALLY well if I need all 14 weeks! My RE likes to ensure I’m on progesterone for the entire first trimester. Today’s hurt a lot less than the first one, so hopefully it’ll get better from here on out.

Woot!!!!! You rock those shots!
Positive thoughts and good vibes for a great egg retrieval tomorrow 🙂

oh.em.geeeee. I love you! I felt the same way after my first PIO. We are awesome!
Keiko says
😀 These shots REALLY suck, so however I can add some levity, I will.
Michelle says
Good luck on your retrieval tomorrow!!! I hope you get many mature eggs!

Thank you so much! Today went great; updates later tomorrow.
