It’s that time of year again… time for the Annual Fertility Treatment, Donor Choices, and Adoption Conference hosted by RESOLVE of New England this Saturday, November 5, 2011!
Last year I live-blogged the event. This year I’ll be live-tweeting the event (along with a host of others). You can join in virtually on all the fun by following @ResolveNewEng and #RNE2011 on Twitter. Even though I’ve been to the conference for the past two years, there’s still plenty of information for me to pick up.
There’s a session just on embryo donation that I’ve volunteered to help set up and staff that I wanted to sit in on because the world of embryo donation feels a bit like the Wild West in third-party reproduction right now. Plus, I can’t wait to meet those of you who wrote “Infertility Is” blog contest posts who’ll be attending the conference as well!
I could give you my Top 10 List of Reasons Why You Should Go. I could even give you my Top 3 Reasons Why You Should Go (and I did!). But today, I’m giving you the one reason I go, the one reason that keeps me going back:
You should go to RESOLVE of New England’s Annual Infertility & Adoption Conference if only to meet people just like you who completely understand what this experience is like. It’s worth it for the connections and the support, for finally feeling like you’re not alone in this journey.
For all the blogging, the tweeting, and general internet connecting I do – connecting with people face-to-face sustains me in our infertility journey. It’s nice to actually meet folks who are in the trenches too.
So that’s where I’ll be this Saturday… if you’re going and want to meet up, let me know here in the comments!
